Youth and Children
Sundays are for fun!
At St John’s, your child won’t have a chance to be bored! Newborns through to 17 yrs have a ton of fun as they learn about Jesus through worship, age-specific lessons and a variety of exciting activities.
Our Children’s and Youth work is fully staffed with trustworthy individuals who are committed to ministering to children. You can be confident that your child is well-cared for and will have a great experience.
Parents with babies and toddlers are well catered for! We have an enclosed, dedicated space where you and your young toddlers can relax and participate in the service.
The area is well equipped with toys, books and a baby changing room is available.
we are just one big family
The children meet during the Sunday Service with their leaders in the hall during term time.
The sessions normally begin with the children sharing together then the activities take place. Activities can include drama, games, painting, model making and story time.
The favourite activities are often food related! The children re-join their parents at the end of the service and are included in Holy Communion.
Buzz Youth Group
‘Eat cake on Sundays’ is our motto that all group members like to subscribe to each Sunday morning during term time. We call it – food for thought!
After a fun ice breaker and some bible study, cake aids our focus on the spiritual food that we also present to the group.
Seriously though, Buzz is a space where the young people (aged 11-18) can meet together in a relaxed and informal setting so they can all encounter Jesus and savour the Word of God. We try to challenge young people but also to foster a freedom where they can share their thoughts and develop a special relationship with Jesus.
Powerhouse Youth Group
Powerhouse meets weekly on a Sunday evening between 6 and 7.30pm in the church hall during term time and is open to 11-18 year olds.
The group provides an opportunity for those who come to have a great time together and to explore more about God’s word and what it means personally to them.
Once a month the group attends the lively youth worship at nearby Peasedown St John.
Come! it’s pretty cool
